| Support for JXTA Instant Messaging |
Description: The JXTA™ technology is a set of open protocols that allow any connected device on the network ranging from cell phones and wireless PDAs to PCs and servers to communicate and collaborate in a P2P manner. JXTA™ is the industry-leading P2P technology, supported by over 30,000 members worldwide with downloads exceeding 12 Million.
Among the many services that may be supported by JXTA™ are Instant Messaging and Presence. That’s where SIP Communicator comes in. We’d like to add support for JXTA™ to SIP Communicator so that users could connect and chat using JXTA™ the way they use other instant messaging networks like Jabber, ICQ/AIM, Yahoo!, and MSN.
