Audio Video Mailbox 2

This is a feature we all have used for long now, first at home with our answering machines, then with our mobile phones voice mail and why not having it now in our Voice over IP phone. The idea is very simple. First of all SIP Communicator should be able to record our personal video welcome message. Then it should play it on unanswered calls and record all incoming audio/video messages in a mailbox. We’re now on the half way of seeing this feature in SIP Communicator.

One of our GSoC 2007 students has started work on such a plugin and we would now like continue work on the subject and finalize the feature. This project will consist in developing a user interface that would allow the configuration of the plugin, playback, and management of stored message, as well as the possibility to record our welcome audio video message.
